Helen C. A. Rowlands and her granddaughter Olivia Day walked together through the park and collaboratively developed the ideas for this project. One of Helen’s grandmothers lived in this area for many years as did Helen and also her daughter. So as they walked Helen and Olivia shared stories and experiences spanning five generations. They explored many of their similarities and also their differences. Olivia took the photographs and asked the questions. Helen prepared response works to the photographs and to the questions using poems and mixed media works.
Helen lives and works in Wales. She has exhibited work here in the U.K, and her work is held in collections in Berlin and in Australia.
Olivia is currently concentrating on her A levels !
